How They Met

Britany and Jonathan met through mutual friends in Las Cruces, NM while they were both in college. Jonathan literally swept Britany off her feet when he asked her to dance two step at a county bar.

The Proposal:

It was Christmas morning three years later when Jonathan decided to pop the question. He worked with Santa and had the ring was wrapped in a box at the bottom of Britany’s stocking.

The Wedding:

Britany and Jonathan were married on the perfect winter day in January. It was a sunny ceremony that was held outside at the beautiful Villa Siena, but held true to the winter feel with the fireplace lit at the altar.

We are in love with so many aspects of this wedding. The color palette is perfect for a winter wedding. We love the pink and white floral that is accented with pops of red. It takes the trend of using pastels in floral and makes it blend perfectly with the winter season.

The bridesmaids really made an impact on the feel of this wedding with their gold sequin dresses. It added so much sparkle and flair and helped blend in glitter and gold from the decor seamlessly.

Brittany’s dress was breathtaking. From the deep plunging neckline in the front to the deep open back, you can’t stop looking at her.  The rest of the dress is lace and sequins. Neither you can go wrong with. We love that she paired the dress with a classic cathedral veil, and it really gave the whole look some drama.

The gorgeous floral from the ceremony and bouquets were also brought perfectly into the reception and cake. The tables had a mix of high and low centerpieces which really give the room some dimension. The sweetheart table had a huge centerpiece of floral that draped over the table and was breathtaking. Even the multi tiered cake was dripping in floral.

How did you meet?

Jennifer and Andrew met at the beginning of their junior year at The University of Arizona. They played off this fact with their guest favors at the wedding. Everyone received a macaroon with the U of A logo on it!

The Proposal like?

Andrew asked Jennifer for her hand in marriage at home, which was perfect. He had made dinner reservations planning to propose there, but unfortunately, Jennifer was held late from work and missed the dinner reservations that he had made! We say everything happens for a reason and it was meant to be intimate and just the two of them.

The Wedding:

The day can be summed up as classy! The wedding was held at the beautiful Sassi venue which pairs perfectly with that theme. This venue has stunning mountain views and a dramatic walk down the staircase entrance that brings you to the garden lawn ceremony.  Jennifer picked the most beautiful and soft floral and in the ivory and blush colors. Her bouquet had a natural feel and almost looked as if you went through a garden and scooped up the perfect pairing of flowers.

With the flowers being so natural and neutral, we love that the bridesmaid’s dresses were a navy blue. It made the floral just pop and the color of the dresses was so complimenting on each of the ladies. We also liked that they all had the same dress, just a different cut. The perfect way to find something to look good on everyone’s body type.

The reception was held inside and had a very intimate feel. We love how they complemented the soft neutral color palette with gold accents. They did this with candles and décor on the tables, as well as with the table plating.

How They Met:

Samantha and Kyle met through mutual friends a few years after college. When Samantha first met Kyle, she thought he was cute, but his confident attitude was not appealing to her. It was only at a friend’s pool party a few months later that she got to know him better and instantly developed a secret crush on him. Kyle doesn’t take hints very well, so Samantha basically had to shake him and say, “I like you!” Once he realized that she was being serious, he grabbed her and kissed her and they have been together ever since. They just celebrated their 6-year dating anniversary in July.

The Proposal:

It was Thanksgiving Day, last year. They had agreed to split the day with both families, visiting Kyle’s family for the first half and Samantha’s for the second. Thanksgiving has always been a big deal at Samantha’s house – they have about 30 people over every year and look forward to it year-round. Kyle’s family doesn’t make such a big deal about it, so Samantha, of course, wanted to spend most the day with her family.

She ended up getting ready at her parents’ house that day since she had come over early to help cook. Samantha was anxiously awaiting Kyle to come pick her so that they could go to his family and then hurry back to hers.

Of course, Kyle was running late, and this didn’t make Samantha very happy. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and a black limo was sitting in the driveway.  She knew right then what was about to happen. The limo pulled up to a park that she had never been to before. She sees Kyle standing under a tree by a pond, wearing a suit and holding an umbrella (it was pouring rain).

Kyle explained to her that he brought Samantha to this park because this is where his dad proposed to his mom 30 years earlier. Kyle’s mom passed away when he was 9 years old, so it was very emotional for both when he told me where we were standing. He got down on one knee and revealed the most beautiful ring she has ever seen. She, of course, said YES (through many tears), and then he told her that he had one more surprise – a videographer had been hiding behind a tree the whole time, and he captured the entire proposal.

How they met:

Leah and Shawn met during graduate school (MBA) at Arizona State University’s WP Carey School of Business. They were introduced by a mutual friend at school, who also happened to know that both Leah and Shawn were going on the summer study abroad trip to Europe! What a perfect time to meet!

The proposal:

Leah and Shawn took a vacation to Seattle. One of the days they were there, they decided to go with some of Shawn’s work friends to what Leah thought was a picnic at the infamous Gas Works Park. When They got there, they sat down in the grass and admired the beautiful Seattle skyline from across the water. It wasn’t long until Leah started to notice that Shawn was nervous and glancing at notes of a speech he made on his phone! Shawn then stood up and pulled Leah up with him, and then got down on one knee and popped the question!

The Wedding:

The color scheme for this wedding is just flawless. It is navy and white striped with hints of blush and gold. To us, it’s the perfect pair of masculine and feminine, which might we say is perfect for a wedding! The blush and gold, which are so on trend right now, give off such a soft and romantic feel, where the stripes gave just a hint of nautical to this beach wedding.  They took the color scheme and executed it to a tee from the ceremony to the floral, and right into the reception. It all tied together perfectly.

The bridesmaid’s dresses are a short navy ensemble that we love. The top is so flattering with the halter type look, and we think overall they look so chic and classic. Leah’s gown, is, of course, breathtaking with adorable sleeves and a low back that gives just the right amount of sexy.

How They Met

It was an act of physical fitness that brought these two together, and we would be willing to bet that they are forever thankful for the gym where they met. The love between Gabrielle and Trent is vivid. In the toasts made by Gabrielle’s mom and Trent’s brother, you can hear that these two were meant for each other. Gabrielle’s mother even claims, she knew that Trent was her future son in law from the first moment she met him!

The Wedding

We love the Silverleaf Golf and Country Club venue. It is one of the most romantic and intimate venues we have filmed, and we get excited when a couple chooses it. Between the beautiful stone walls and the deep wood décor, it gives you the genuine feeling that you are in a castle.  Since the venue has such a bold and exquisite presence, we love that Gabrielle and Trent choose very soft florals to add in. The blush pink and ivory, along with the succulents down the aisle and mixed into the bouquets are the perfect touch to give the day that natural look.

Gabrielle’s dress was fit for a princess. From the endless ruffles down the skirt, to the fully beaded bodice, it was just breathtaking.  The addition of the jeweled headpiece was the seamless final touch.

We love the personalized details that went into this beautiful day such as Gabrielle’s awesome and super comfortable wedding shoes, Glamified pumas! The succulents that were given to the guests as favors were the perfect idea. We love when you can give something that will continue to grow long after the wedding is over.  Plus, they had fire pits and gave all the guests the cutest little marshmallow sets to enjoy!

This perfect day, ended in an even more perfect evening, with an abundance of fireworks.

A Wedding Film is FIRST thing cut from the wedding budget yet the #1 REGRET a couple has after a wedding if they decided not to get one. The very thought of a couple not having a wedding film documenting their wedding day makes me beyond sad. So many moments and memories lost… So here is my pitch… Take what you like and leave the rest.

1. Who is at your wedding sadly may not be here 10 years from now. Over my 9 years in business I have had 7 couples lose someone unexpectedly after the wedding. Many of those couples that was the last time they ever saw that person and heard their voice was on their wedding day. Can you even imagine not hearing your mom’s words to you as she zipped you into your dress? Or your dad’s toast to you on your wedding day? Or what your groom says to you the moment he first sees you in your dress. Lost, lost and lost if you opt out of a wedding film. I hate to be morbid but it is a truth. Document the say… No matter the curve balls life throws us you will be so glad to have a video record of those who were with you that day.

2. Of course you are going to have a Photographer on your wedding day. But Photos and a Wedding Film go hand and hand. A Photographer will give you snapshots of moments. We will give you the sound and motion from those moments. Together we are your memory team giving you multiple facets and angles of the day. I have NEVER had a couple say to me that they had too many memories of their wedding day… As soon as people find out what I do for a living inevitably the ones who didn’t have a cinematographer at their wedding ALWAYS say to me “That was our biggest regret.. I so wish we had a wedding film. We decided against it and I wish we hadn’t”. I have NEVER had someone say to me “I wish we didn’t invest in a wedding film” even if it wasn’t a great film they are still glad they have it.
3. The day goes sooooooo fast. The morning after your wedding you will discuss with your spouse how amazing it was and you will both agree that it went by lightening fast. And if you decided to invest in a wedding film you will have a sense of peace in knowing that you have that memory forever but also that you will soon get to re-live that day when the film is finished. We will show you in your film parts of the day that you never knew existed. You will get to see your day from a completely different angle. You will get to re-live it like it is brand new again and that is priceless.

4. You will want this memory if you decide to have a family. While it may not be on the radar now having a family might be in the picture one day and you will regret deeply not being able to share the day of your wedding with your future children. They will want to see what life was like before they came along.
5.  In this day and age with all of the technology it just makes sense. Wedding films can now be easily shared with family and friends. You want those that attended and those that couldn’t to be able to share in the memories. Wedding films are nothing like they used to be. They are high quality productions now. They are a customized story of your wedding day and they are fabulous and a MUST HAVE in your wedding budget.

New Years Eve Wedding at Montelucia

Metallic New Years Eve Wedding At Montelucia | Videographer Phoenix

Jessica and Travis wanted an epic wedding so what better night to have your wedding than on the biggest party night of the year??? New Years Eve!!!

They chose the gorgeous Montelucia for their wedding celebration. The vision of the day was all that glitters. Jessica opted for glitz, glamor, and sparkle throughout her event. For her Ceremony, she chose ghost chairs with life-size letters that spelled out love as her backdrop. They also had a personalized aisle runner with their names and wedding date. It was all very dramatic and romantic with the dim lighting and candlelight.

They chose for the entire event to be held in the Castillo Lucerno so what that means is that space had to be flipped during the cocktail hour to accommodate the reception which is no small task. Jessica and Travis exited their Ceremony through a tunnel of sparklers to head off to take photos and enjoy some cocktails. During the photo session, Jessica had gotten these giant balloons to take photos with and they were just adorable.

They headed back into the Castilo for their reception and to dance the night away and ring in the New Year. For decor, for the reception, Jessica went with white floral and sparkle linens with silver touches for her reception. No detail was undone from the ghost chairs to the Chargers to the centerpieces to the acrylic initials to the crystal candelabras. It was all too die for and every bride’s dream wedding. To celebrate the stroke of midnight and the New Year they blew off confetti canons.

It was definitely a night to remember!! One amazing thing about their wedding date??? They will NEVER forget their anniversary!!!
